Abstract: This monograph focuses on the issuesfacing sustainability in supply chains.  Specifically itprovides an overview of green supply chain management (GSCM) andthe management of technology within this context.  The topicsinclude the operational and technological activities andcharacteristics of GSCM management.  Organizational greeningactivities that play a role in GSCM operations are presented. The monograph also provides functional activities of the GSCM whichinclude supplier management, internal operations management,logistics, and reverse logistics issues.  Managerialconsiderations related to planning, justifying, and implementingGSCM and the respective technologies provide some insights intomanagement decisions that will be faced in this environment. The references and bibliography provide a dozens of additionalreadings for those interested in this emergent and complexissue.
