The requirements apply to drive machine controllers, logic controllers, and operating devices, accessory thereto, for starting, stopping, regulating, controlling, or protecting electric motors, generators, or other equipment, for elevators, escalators, moving walks, dumbwaiters, and elevating devices for the handicapped (wheelchair and stairway lifts).
