Описание
Причина отмены

This specification covers polyethylene (PE) pipe made in Schedule 40 size for use with insert fittings (inside diameter controlled) and pressure-rated for water (see Appendix). Included are criteria for classifying PE plastic pipe materials and PE plastic pipe, a system of nomenclature for PE plastic pipe, and requirements and test methods for materials, workmanship, dimensions, sustained pressure, burst pressure, and environmental stress cracking. Requirements for marking are also given.

This standard is being withdrawn with no replacement because queries to industry have not identified manufacturers that are producing pipe to this standard. Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee F17 on Plastic Piping Systems, this specification was withdrawn in August 2010.

Реферат

This specification covers polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe made in schedule 40 size for use with insert fittings and pressure-rated for water. Polyethylene plastics shall meet the requirements as defined by short-term and long-term strength tests, hydrostatic design stresses, PE plastic extrusion compound, and rework material. This specification also includes classification criteria, nomenclature system, test methods, requirements, workmanship, dimensions, carbon black content, bond strength, sustained pressure, density, burst pressure, and environmental stress cracking. Test methods shall include conditioning, sampling, density, sustained pressure test, environmental stress cracking test, elevated temperature test, and burst pressure test.

Область применения

1.1 This specification covers polyethylene (PE) pipe made in Schedule 40 size for use with insert fittings (inside diameter controlled) and pressure-rated for water (see Appendix).

1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

1.3 The following safety hazards caveat pertains only to the test methods portion, Section 7, of this specification: This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
