4.1 This test method is suitable for determining the quantity of peroxides in styrene monomer both for quality control and quality assurance of the product.
1.1 Thistest method covers the determination of the peroxide content ofstyrene monomer reported as hydrogen peroxide.
1.2 Thistest method has been found applicable to the determination ofperoxides in styrene monomer in the range of 1 to 60 mg/kg.
1.3 Indetermining the conformance of the test results using this methodto applicable specifications, results shall be rounded off inaccordance with the rounding-off method of Practice E29.
1.4Units—The values stated in SIunits are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurementare included in this standard.
