This method is for determining trace hydrocarbon impurities inhigh purity p-xylene. The method is quantitative for a singleimpurity down to a level of 0.005 mass-%. The method can also beused for determining the total purity of the p-xylene. Mixed xyleneisomers and/or diethylbenzenes in other process streams should bedetermined using UOP Method 744.
