For custody transfer purposes, Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) andLiquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) volumes are generally stated at afixed base temperature and saturation pressure. As most volumetransfers occur at temperatures and pressures other than standardconditions, these volumes are adjusted to standard conditionsthrough the use of correction factors.
This document presents a new method to calculate temperaturecorrection factors. With the publication of this document, previousASTM and GPA documents containing NGL and LPG temperaturecorrection factors should no longer be used. For petroleumengineers, petroleum refiners, and chemical manufacturers.
The actual Standard represented by this report consists of theexplicit Implementation Procedures. Sample tables and otherexamples created from a computerized version of theseImplementation Procedures are presented within the document(however, these are for example only and do not represent theStandard).
