This method is for determining total sulfur in heavy oils andviscous hydrocarbons in the range of 10 wt-ppm to greater than 2000wt-ppm. Samples are analyzed directly by single entry boatinsertion. Halides in excess of 10 times the sulfur level, nitrogencontent greater than 10% and heavy metals interfere with theanalysis.
