These brick are normally used with chemical-resistant mortars. Chimney lining bricks are classified according to types: Types I, II, and III. The following test methods shall be performed for the materials to meet the specified requirements: sulfuric acid boil test: compressive strength test; water absorption; sizes; warpage; and texture.
