This specification covers the basic performance requirements for an electrolytic or mechanical coating of cadmium or zinc followed by a chromate and baked organic coating for ferrous and nonferrous fasteners.

Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee F16 on Fasteners, this specification was withdrawn in November 2009. This standard is being withdrawn with no replacement because there are no known users of this standard.

Реферат

This specification covers the basic performance requirements and associated test methods for eight grades of electrolytic or mechanical coatings of cadmium or zinc that have been followed by a chromate and baked organic coating for ferrous and nonferrous fasteners. The coatings shall be tested, and conform accordingly to requirements for thickness, corrosion resistance, and adhesion.

Область применения
