The purpose of this standard is to provide a minimum set of requirements for submerged and sidestream-type membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems used for water reclamation and/or wastewater treatment systems. This standard is intended to assist with the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of MBR systems.
The standard provides requirements for materials, systems, supplier or manufacturer data, water flow, water quality, performance criteria, products/components, installation, startup, commissioning, training, field testing, delivery packaging, shipping, handling, storage, notice of nonconformance, and affidavit of compliance. The standard includes definitions and appendixes.
