ASME B31Q-2010

Доступна более новая редакция
Pipeline Personnel Qualification — 92 стр.

ASME has been defining piping safety since 1922.

ASME B31Q establishes the requirements for developing and implementing an effective Pipeline Personnel Qualification Program.  It specifies the requirements for identifying covered tasks that impact the safety or integrity of pipelines, for qualifying individuals to perform those tasks, and for managing the qualifications of pipeline personnel.

With the following exceptions, this Standard applies to tasks that impact the safety or integrity of pipelines:  (a) design or engineering tasks; (b) tasks that are primarily intended to ensure personnel safety.

Key changes to this revision include clarification of qualification exemptions, inclusion of a reference on new technology and construction, and addition of new tasks including on purging of hazardous liquids and flammable or inert gas, and inserting and removing internal cleaning devices for pipeline systems.

B31Q joins with ASME’s other B31 codes on piping systems.  Together, they remain essential references for anyone engaged with piping.

Careful application of these B31 codes will help users to comply with applicable regulations within their jurisdictions, while achieving the operational, cost and safety benefits to be gained from the many industry best-practices detailed within these volumes.

Intended for liquid and gas pipeline industries, contractors, service providers, and federal and state regulators.
