This guide covers the selection and use of procedures for testing drying oils commonly used in paints, varnishes, and related products.

Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications, this guide was withdrawn in March 2007 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
