Причина отмены This test method covers a procedure for a laboratory test for performing an initial evaluation (screening) of nonmetallic seal materials by immersion in a simulated geothermal test fluid.

Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee E44 on Solar, Geothermal and Other Alternative Energy Sources, this practice was withdrawn in January 2018 in accordance with section 10.6.3 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.

Значение и использование

This test method is intended for laboratory screening of materials. Due to large differences in the composition, pressure, and temperature of geothermal fluids, this test method may not correlate with actual service conditions. It does not consider the effects of geothermal fluid combined with oxidizing environments, stress loading, or thermal cycling.

1.1 This test method covers a procedure for a laboratory test for performing an initial evaluation (screening) of nonmetallic seal materials by immersion in a simulated geothermal test fluid.
