The requirements provided by this specification cover seats, berths, litters, safety belts, and shoulder harnesses; doors; baggage and cargo compartments; emergency evacuation; flightcrew emergency exits; emergency exits; emergency exit marking; emergency lighting; passenger information signs; emergency exit access; and width of aisle. Also addressed are fire protection (fire extinguishers, passenger and crew compartment interiors, cargo and baggage compartment fire protection, thermal/acoustic insulation materials) and safety equipment.
