Область применения1.1 This specification establishes the dimensions and material properties of alpine ski boots intended for use with current systems of alpine ski bindings with attachment at the boot toe and boot heel. Proper function of the ski-boot-binding system depends, in part, on the boot properties specified herein.
1.2 For ski-boot-binding systems that function irrespective of the boot sole shape, or that have different requirements for the boot sole properties, it is not always necessary for the ski boot properties to comply with this specification in order to achieve the desired degree of performance.
1.3 This specification applies to ski boots of sizes 15.0 and larger (Types A and C) in the Mondopoint system (see ISO 9407).
1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
