This European standard specifies the requirements and test methods for the safety of gas-fired
absorption and adsorption air-conditioning and/or heat pump appliances having a net heat input
not exceeding 70 kW, hereafter referred to as "appliances".
This standard applies to appliances having fiue systems of Type BI*,B 12BS, B138SB, 14, B22,
BZ3, CQ, CI3, C3 and C33, and to appliances designed for outdoor installations.
This standard only applies to appliances having:
- integral burners under the control of fully automatic burner control systems;
- closed System refrigerant circuits in which the refrigerant does not come into direct contact
with the water or air to be cooled or heated;
- mechanical means to assist transportation of the combustion air andlor the flue gases.
Appliances covered by this standard include one or a combination of the following:
- Gas-Fired Absorption Air Conditioner;
- Gas-Fired Adsorption Air Conditioner;
- Gas-Fired Absorption Heat Pump;
- Gas-Fired Adsorption Heat Pump.
The above appliances may have one or more primary or secondary functions (see 3.1.5 and 3.1.6)
and this standard applies to all such functions providing that the function concemed is dependent
on circulation of fluid within the absorption, or adsorption, refrigerant circuit.
NOTE: Any appliance function that is not dependent on circulation of the fluid within the
absorption. or adsorption, refrigerant circuit should be assessed separately.
This standard does not apply to appliances fitted with more than one flue outlet.
This standard is applicable to appliances that are intended to be type tested. Requirements for
üppliances that are not type tested would need to be subject to further consideration.
Diese Europäische Norm spezifiziert die Anforderungen und Prüfmethoden für die Sicherheit
gasbefeuerter Absorptions- und Adsorptions- Klimageräte und/oder Wärmepumpengeräte mit
einer Nennwärmebelastung nicht über 70 kW, im folgenden als Geräte bezeichnet.
Dieser Normenentwurf gilt für Geräte mit Abgasabführung der Typen B 12, B 12BS, B 13, B 3BS, B 14,
B22, B23, C 12, C13, C32 und C33 und für Geräte zur Aufstellung im Freien.
Dieser Normenentwurf gilt ausschließlich für Geräte mit:
- integrierten Brennern unter Kontrolle von Gasfeuerungsautomaten;
geschlossenen Kühlkreislaufsystemen, in denen das Kühlmittel nicht direkt mit dem zu
kühlenden oder zu erwärmenden Wasser oder Luft in Berührung kommt;
mechanischen Einrichtungen zur Unterstützung des Verbrennungsluft- und/oder Abgas-
Transports.
Diese Norm gilt für Geräte mit einer der nachstehenden Funktionen oder einer Kombination
daraus:
- gasbefeuerte Adsorptionsklimageräte;
- gasbefeuerte Adsorptionsklimageräte;
gasbefeuerte Absorptionswärmepumpen;
gasbefeuerte Adsorptionswärmepumpen.
Die obengenannten Geräte können eine oder mehrere primäre oder sekundäre Funktionen haben
(siehe 3 .1 .5 und 3.1 .6) und diese Norm gilt für all solche Funktionen, vorausgesetzt, daß die
betroffene Funktion vom Umlauf von Flüssigkeit innerhalb des Absorptions- oder Adsorptions-
Kühlmittelkreislaufes abhängt.
ANMERKUNG: Jegliche Gerätefunktion, die nicht vom Umlauf der Flüssigkeit im
Absorptions- oder Adsorptions- Kühlmittelkeislauf abhängt, sollte getrennt bewertet werden.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Geräte mit mehr als einem Abgasstutzen.
Diese Norm gilt für Geräte, die einer Baumusterprüfung unterzogen werden sollen.
Anforderungen an Geräte, die keiner Baumusterprüfung unterzogen werden, wären noch weiter
zu erwägen .
