This standard specifies general principles for welded static non-pressurised thermoplastic tanks. It applies to work shop and
site fabrications.
The standard covers tanks with a capacity of 0,45 m3 (450 litres) and above.
Tanks which comply with the requirements of this standard are not intended to withstand internal pressure or vacuum other
than that which may occur during the transfer of fluids (including gases) in their normal operation.
This standard applies to tanks fabricated in the following thermoplastics:
Polypropylene (PP)
Poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC)
Poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)

Die Norm stellt allgemeine Grundsätze für geschweißte, ortsfeste, drucklose Tanks aus Thermoplasten auf. Sie gilt für sowohl Werksfertigung als auch für Standortfertigung und für Tanks mit einem Volumen von mehr als 450 Liter. Die allgemeinen Grundsätze richten sich an die Konstruktion (Sicherheitsfaktor, Materialverträglichkeit, erwartete Lebensdauer, Stutzen, Mannloch, Schweißverbindungen), die Kennzeichnung sowie an die Verpackung, die Verladung, den Transport und den Einbau, die Schweißverbindungen, die Verpackung, die Verladung, der Transport und der Einbau werden in einem Anhang geregelt. In einem weiteren Anhang wird ein Fragebogen über die Betriebsbedingungen für einen geschweißten ortsfesten drucklosen Tank aus Thermoplasten vorgestellt.
