This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of hydroxyl value of aliphatic and alicyclic
hydroxyl compounds such as polyols, sorbitan esters, plasticisers and surface active agent alcohols and
alkoxylates with hydroxyl values greater than 20 mg KOH/g.
