This document provides principles and requirements for the assessment of environmental, social and economic performance of buildings and civil engineering works taking into account their technical characteristics and functionality.
The framework applies to all types of construction works and it is relevant for new construction works over their entire life cycle, and of existing construction works over their remaining service life and end of life stage.
The sustainability assessment of construction works covers aspects and impacts of construction works expressed with quantifiable indicators. It includes the assessment of the construction works’ influence on the environmental, social and economic aspects and impacts on the local area (area of influence) and of the local infrastructure beyond the curtilage of the building and the civil engineering works.
The assessment of environmental, social and economic aspects of organizations, such as management systems, are not included in the standards developed under this framework. However, the decisions or actions that influence the environmental, social and economic performance of the object of assessment can be taken into account where the assessment includes management process related aspects.
Dieses Dokument stellt die Grundsätze und Anforderungen für die Bewertung von Gebäuden und Ingenieurbauwerken hinsichtlich ihrer umweltbezogenen, sozialen und ökonomischen Qualität unter Berücksichtigung ihrer technischen und funktionalen Eigenschaften bereit.
Die Rahmenbedingungen gelten für alle Arten von Bauwerken und sind für neue Bauwerke über deren gesamten Lebenszyklus und bei Bestandsbauten für deren restliche Nutzungsdauer und die Entsorgungsphase/das Ende der Lebens- bzw. Nutzungsdauer maßgeblich.
Die Nachhaltigkeitsbewertung von Bauwerken erfasst Aspekte und Auswirkungen von Bauwerken mittels quantitativer Indikatoren. Sie schließt die Bewertung des Einflusses eines Bauwerks auf die umweltbezogenen, sozialen und ökonomischen Aspekte und Auswirkungen auf die Region (das Einflussgebiet) und die lokale Infrastruktur über das Grundstück des Gebäudes und des Ingenieurbauwerks hinaus ein.
Die Bewertung der umweltbezogenen, sozialen und ökonomischen Aspekte von Organisationen, wie Managementsysteme, sind in den unter diesen Rahmenbedingungen erarbeiteten Normen nicht enthalten. Die Entscheidungen oder Maßnahmen, die einen Einfluss auf die umweltbezogene, soziale und ökonomische Qualität des Gegenstandes der Bewertung haben, können jedoch berücksichtigt werden, wenn die Bewertung Aspekte umfasst, die mit dem Managementprozess in Verbindung stehen.
