This European Standard specifies the safety, constructional and performance requirements for valve
proving systems, hereafter referred to as VPS, for gas burners and gas appliances.
It applies to all types of VPS which are used for the automatic detection of leakage in a gas burner
section having at least 2 valves designed to EN 161 and which give a signal if the leakage of one of
the valves exceeds the detection limit.
It applies to VPS with declared maximum working pressure up to and including 4 bar, for use in systems
using fuel gases of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd families.
This standard does not apply to VPS for use in explosive atmospheres.
This European Standard covers type testing only.
Diese Europäische Norm legt sicherheitstechnische und Auslegungsanforderungen an Ventilüberwachungssysteme für Gasbrenner und Gasgeräte, im folgenden VPS genannt, fest. Diese Norm gilt für VPS, welche für die automatische Überwachung der Leckage in einem Gasbrenner-Prüfabschnitt mit mindestens 2 automatischen Absperrventilen (Stellgeräten) nach EN 161 eingesetzt werden und welche ein Signal abgeben, wenn eines der Absperrventile fehlerhaft ist.
