The scope of this European Standard is to establish heat exchanger terminology so that
consistent terrns are used.
For the purposes of this European Standard a heat exchanger is a device, the main function
of which is to transfer heat between two fluids, with physical separation by a wall. Heat
exchange between a fluid and a solid material (in the case of ovens in particular) is therefore
excluded
Für Wärmetauscher sind die wichtigsten Begriffsbestimmungen in Wort und Bild zusammengefaßt. Die Einsatzgebiete sind im Anhang A aufgezählt. Im Anhang B ist die Funktionsweise in Schaubildern dargestellt. Diese ENV 247 ist Teil einer Reihe von europäischen Vornormen, z. B. ENV 305, ENV 306, ENV 307, ENV 308 und ENV 327, die bereits auf dem Gebiet der Wärmeaustauscher erschienen sind.
