1.1 Applications
The present document covers the following point-to-multipoint applications:
- voice;
- fax;
- voiceband data;
- telex;
- data up to 64 kbit/s;
- ISDN.
1.2 Frequencies
The present document covers fixed point-to-multipoint services operating in the 1,5 GHz, 2,2 GHz, 2,4 GHz and
2,6 GHz bands.
The frequency plans for the 1,5 GHz, 2,2 GHz and 2,6 GHz bands are given in CEPT/ERC Recommendation
T/R 13-01 [1]. For the 2,4 GHz band, the ITU-R Recommendation F.701-2 [11] is applicable.
1.3 Access Method
The present document covers Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) systems.
1.4 Compatibility
There is no requirement to operate a Central Station (CS) from one manufacturer with a Terminal Station (TS) or a
Repeater Station (RS) from another manufacturer.
