This standard specifies constructional and perfonance characteristics, safety specifications
and rational use of energy, relevant test methods and marking of independent hotplates,
including those fitted with a grill, burning liquefied petroleum gas, referred to in the body of the
text as "appliances".
This standard Covers independent hotplates, including those fitted with a grill as defined in
3.39, used outdoors and operating with the gases indicated in 4.1 and according to the
categories specified in 4.2.
This standard applies to these appliances and their functional sections whether or not the latter
are independent or incorporated into an assembly.
This standard applies only to type testing.
Appliances supplied with third family gas at pressures greater those defined in 4.2 are outside
the field of application of this standard.
Appliances used in leisure vehicles and boats are outside the field of application of this
standard.
Independent hotplate bumers, whose nominal heat input is below 1 ,I6 kW and grills, are not
subject to any special requirement conceming the rational use of energy due to their low rate
and their use for short periods of time.
Zweck der vorliegenden Norm ist es, Bau, Betriebsanforderungen, Sicherheitsanforderungen,
Anforderungen an die Energieverwendung sowie die entsprechenden Prüfmethoden und
Kennzeichnung der flüssiggasbetriebenen Gaskocher einschließlich solcher mit Grill festzulegen,
im Hauptteil des Textes "Geräte" genannt.
Diese Norm gilt für die in 3.39 beschriebenen Gaskocher mit oder ohne Grill zur Verwendung im
Freien, betrieben mit dem in 4.1 aufgeführten Gasen, abhängig von der in 4.2 festgelegten
Kategorie.
Diese Norm gilt für diese Geräte und deren funktionale Bauteile, unabhängig davon, ob diese
allein verwendet werden oder in eine Kombination eingebaut sind.
Diese Norm befaßt sich nur mit Baumusterprüfungen.
Diese Norm betrifft nicht Geräte, die mit Gasen der 3. Gasfamilie bei einem Druck größer als in
4.2 beschrieben, betrieben werden.
Geräte zum Einsatz in Freizeitfahrzeugen und Booten sind aus dem Geltungbereich dieser Norm
ausgeschlossen.
Kochstellenbrenner, deren Nennwärmebelastung unter 1,16 kW liegt, sowie Grillgeräte sind
aufgrund ihrer geringen Leistung und der kurzen Betriebszeiten nicht Gegenstand jeglicher
Anforderungen an die wirtschaftliche Energieverwendung.
