This International Standard specifies the characteristics of semi-flexible/vinyl composition floor tiles based on
poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) binder and supplied in tile form. Products may contain a transparent, non-PVC
factory finish.
To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, this International Standard includes a classification
system (see ISO 10874) based on the intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings give
satisfactory service. It also specifies requirements for marking.
Diese Internationale Norm legt die Eigenschaften von halbflexiblen Vinyl-Bodenplatten auf Basis von
Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) als Bindemittel fest, die in Plattenform geliefert werden. Die Produkte können eine
transparente, nicht aus PVC bestehende Oberflächenausführung enthalten.
Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Internationale Norm ein
Klassifizierungssystem (siehe ISO 10874) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese
Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich ist. Die Norm legt auch die Anforderungen zur
Kennzeichnung fest.
