This International Standard specifies two test methods for determining the water permeability characteristics
of a single layer of geotextile or geotextile-related product normal to the plane:
a) the constant head method;
b) the falling head method.
NOTE If the full permeability characteristics of the geotextile or geotextile-related product have previously been
established, then for control purposes it can be sufficient to determine the velocity index at a head loss of 50 mm only.
Diese Internationale Norm legt zwei Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Wasserdurchlässigkeit eines einlagigen
Geotextils oder geotextilverwandten Produktes normal zu seiner Ebene fest:
a) das Verfahren mit konstanter Druckhöhe;
b) das Verfahren mit fallender Druckhöhe.
ANMERKUNG Wenn der volle Umfang der charakteristischen Wasserdurchlässigkeit eines Geotextils oder geotextilverwandten
Produktes schon einmal ermittelt worden ist, kann es für Kontrollzwecke genügen, den Geschwindigkeitsindex
bei einem hydraulischen Höhenunterschied von nur 50 mm zu bestimmen.
