This International Standard specifies a method for the
determination of the sulphated total ash and the sulphated
watet--insoluble ash of leather.
The method is applicable to all types of leather.
The determination may be inaccurate by the extent to
which the leather contains organo-metallic compounds,
for example Silicone (see note 1 in 8.1).
Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der sulfatierten Gesamtasche und der sulfatierten wasserunlöslichen Asche von Leder fest. Das Verfahren ist für alle Arten von Leder anwendbar. In Abhängigkeit vom Gehalt an metallorganischen Verbindungen, zB Siliconen, kann die Bestimmung fehlerhaft sein (siehe Abschnitt 8.1 Anmerkung 1).
