This part of the Technical Specification defines the representation of ID-tags as a Postal-4i symbology 4-state
bar code printed on the front side of flats. Many of the provisions are applicable also to small letters and are
therefore referenced by Part 5 of the specification (CEN/TS 15844-5), which covers these.
