This European Standard specifies the definition of the different processing steps (levels) of images coming from Earth observation systems observing the surface of the Earth regarding the different sensor sources of the origin data.
It applies at least to image products generated from the following types of sensors:
- electro-optical (including infrared and hyper-spectral);
- SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar).
The standard allows to identify the information depth and the used auxiliary data/information. Furthermore it allows the comprehension of image data from different sources and gives hints about the information compatibility.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Definition der verschiedenen Verarbeitungsstufen (Ebenen) von Bildauf-nahmen fest, die von Erdbeobachtungssystemen stammen und die Erdoberfläche in Bezug auf die verschie-denen Sensorquellen der Ursprungsdaten abbilden.
Sie gilt zumindest für Bildaufnahmen, die mithilfe der folgenden Sensoren gewonnen werden:
- elektro-optische Sensoren (einschließlich Infrarot und hyperspektral);
- Radar mit synthetischer Apertur (SAR, en: Synthetic Aperture Radar).
Diese Norm ermöglicht die Identifizierung der Informationstiefe und der verwendeten Hilfsdaten/-informa-tionen. Ebenso ermöglicht sie das Verständnis von Bilddaten aus verschiedenen Quellen und enthält Hin-weise in Bezug auf die Informationskompatibilität.
